It's official! Breakfast & lunch are free for all Haverhill Public Schools students. Thanks to the Community Eligible Provision— a federal program/dollars that Haverhill has been eligible for, for a few years now. Through economies of scale & CEP, we ensure #nutrition for all. This is a net positive financially and nutritionally for HPS. Special thanks to Superintendent Marotta for making this a priority.
We filed H.585 An Act to promote student nutrition in order to move school districts towards ensuring every kid is fed & ready to learn. Federal dollars are on the table & other states have jumped towards getting school districts the funds they're eligible for. #Haverhill is leading the way on implementation.
